An IEE (or Independent Educational Evaluation) is an assessment conducted by an IEE expert, independent of the school district, to accurately understand the child’s strengths and educational needs. When conducting the occupational therapy portion of an IEE, therapists gather information from record reviews, caregivers, educational personnel, the child and assessment data, building a comprehensive understanding to help children succeed in their school life.
